Just Lee is a for-profit extended care facility with approximately 60 beds. Like most such operations, it maintains rows of filing cabinets to store the mountains of paperwork generated each day for timekeeping, payroll, scheduling, staffing, training, medical, and legal records required by the state.

The owner of the Just Lee Convalescent Center is a former accountant who has instructed his Administrator to eliminate as much paper as possible, as it costs too much in time and money to generate and store paper. He has searched the web and is aware that software programs have been developed or modified to assist in these tasks, but the programs do not work together, are often confined to web-based use, and/or they are not affordable.

Because Just Lee's owner and administrator are both innovators, they are willing to try new products and services in the interest of smoother, more efficient administrative processes. In the summer of 2004 they received a letter and brochure describing the BALL PROGRAMS. After previewing the programs during a free on-site presentation, they decide to take advantage of the company's trial license.

During the course of the trial, the staff and management of Just Lee are delighted with the fiscal advantages and the improvements in day-to-day operations. The BALL PROGRAMS meet their needs in paper reduction while strongly encouraging employees, pool workers, and department heads to work together in a more informed, cooperative environment.
