The BALL PROGRAMS contain many useful scheduling functions that facilitate highly efficient human resource management of all departments.
These functions include:
- Schedule by default - The default is based on individual work preferences, which can include working alternating weekends.
- Schedule by shift – Can be used to schedule employees for one or more days.
- The ability to edit schedules to accommodate cancellations, vacations, medical leave, etc.
- A unique feature of the scheduling program, especially developed for the nursing department, includes a nursing staff/resident ratio calculation. This function allows you to adjust nursing staff needs as the number of residents on campus changes, so you never have too many or too few nurses on duty.
- View current facility staffing ratios for RN’s, LPN’s and CNA’s for any given scheduled day.
For proprietary reasons, we can only make a few of these report samples available publicly. The reports described here are:

Scheduled Overtime Cost Report
Employee Cancellation Report
The employee cancellation report contains the date, reason, and explanation for canceling a scheduled shift. This functionality was developed as an integral part of our scheduling programs at the request of our advising facilities. The report can be viewed and printed at any time, and it can also be used during an employee's annual review.

Scheduled Overtime Cost Report
The Scheduled Overtime Cost Report displays a departmental list of employees who have been scheduled to work overtime in an upcoming pay period. The companion piece, or "Scheduled Underutilized Report" (not presented here), is used to shift overtime hours to underutilized employees when job titles and experience are compatible. Note that employees who log on with administrative privileges are able to see the Department, Employee Name, Overtime Hours, and Cost columns. Those who log on as a Scheduler can only view the Department, Employee Name and Overtime Hours columns.
